Hands down, the BEST professor I've EVER had. Deep thinker but breaks complex stuff down effectively. The Kawa Model is awesome! A real enabler who really takes interest in/genuinely cares about students. Lectures are always incredibly interesting & deeply challenging. He loves OT and it shows. He's also emerging in the OT world as a leading theorist. His work is known around the world and so highly respected- we're so lucky to have him as teacher. Dr. Iwama is so under-appreciated at UofT.

If you are considering getting into Occupational Therapy...and you got the marks...go to U of T and take Professor Iwama. He is a nice person, great professor, and all around a good guy. Has a lot of insight when it comes to occupational therapy, and he knows a lot of people in the industry and he can help you guys out looking for jobs!

great prof, really fair marker.. hes also really funny (at least i think so), probably the smartest prof you will have as well. if your looking for a class that youll enjoy and learn a lot from then take it with Dr. I.
